Over 2300 Patients Served in Our First Year
People Aren’t Numbers!
In 2015 (our very first year of providing Behavioral Health Services) Camarena Health was able to serve over 2300 patients. That number will drastically increase in 2016 and the years to come. More important than the numbers, though, are the individual stories of lives being transformed because of these services.
A Story of Transformation
We get to hear countless stories of lives being impacted and transformed through the services available at Camarena Health. One example is of a mother who for her anonymity we will call Jane. Jane is a patient of Camarena Health and has had a history of anxiety around large crowds and experienced panic attacks around the idea of doing simple daily tasks like helping in her son’s classroom, going to his sporting events or even the park where there could be large groups of individuals. To most people this is everyday life, but to this mom it was unthinkable.
She was frustrated that she was missing out on so much of her family’s life and turned to her providers at Camarena Health to get control. Her Camarena Health Care Team which included her medical doctor, a behavioral health specialist, and even a health educator were able to work together with Jane to provide her with the proper care, counseling and techniques to manage her anxiety. That mother now volunteers for her son’s school daily, will be going back to school next semester, and working on life goals like obtaining her driver’s license. All because she had access to a care team that could worked together to focus on her overall wellness.
