Facing Reality: Camarena Health’s Ongoing Role in the “Every 15 Minutes” Program
For several years, Camarena Health has proudly partnered with Matilda Torres High School and Madera South High School to support the Every 15 Minutes program—a powerful, real-life simulation designed to educate students about the devastating consequences of impaired and distracted driving. Led by the California Highway Patrol, this program provides a sobering experience that stays with students long after the staged events are over.
As part of the simulation, Camarena Health plays the role of the medical facility that receives the injured students following a mock DUI-related crash. Our providers and staff help recreate a realistic emergency room scenario—demonstrating everything from trauma response and medical procedures to the emotional toll such events take on families and care teams.
By participating in Every 15 Minutes, we aim to help teens understand just how quickly lives can be changed forever by one poor decision. At Camarena Health, we’re committed to the well-being of our community—not just through healthcare, but through education, prevention, and partnership.

We thank our local schools, first responders, and community leaders for continuing to create space for these vital conversations. Because when it comes to protecting young lives, every moment—and every decision—matters.
