Camarena Health unveils 5-building medical campus in Madera
Last month, Camarena Health officially introduced its new 5-building campus on Almond Avenue to community stakeholders at an open house event. Nicknamed the “Almond Campus”, this complex of 5 buildings at a combined 30,000 square feet brings new services in new facilities as well as replaced old ones on Almond Avenue through a phased opening:
The two remaining buildings completed construction in July and currently have unfinished interiors that will be specially purposed to meet the needs of the community in the future. The largest building is the new Almond Health Center which consolidates two former health center locations that were located further west along Almond Avenue and now locates them together on-campus. In this particular facility patients can access family medicine, women’s health, behavioral health, and health education services all under one roof.
“Camarena Health is very excited and proud to offer this great, new medical campus to the community of Madera,” said CEO Paulo Soares. “The ability to place several buildings and multiple services in one location helps to increase the ability to more easily access services for our patients. The fact that we were able to develop this campus and leave a few buildings currently unoccupied gives Camarena Health the opportunity to grow and add additional services to this campus in the future to keep pace with the growing needs of our community.”
The entire Almond Campus employs over 40 medical staff including six medical providers, two women’s health providers, two dental providers, and one behavioral health provider. These state-of-the-art facilities help Camarena Health grow to meet the needs of the community in southwest Madera with room for expansion in the future.
