This November, our team members demonstrated their unwavering commitment to these values by giving their time, energy, and hearts to serve others in impactful ways.
Serve Day at the Madera Food Bank
On November 12, members of our Senior Leadership team set aside their busy schedules to volunteer at the Madera County Food Bank, packing 1,275 food boxes for families in our mountain communities. Each box was thoughtfully prepared with care and included essential items like milk, beans, rice, spaghetti, tomato sauce, hazelnuts, apricot halves, mixed fruit, and vegetable soup. The team worked tirelessly for hours to ensure every box was filled and ready for distribution, exemplifying the heart of service that drives us at Camarena Health.
Operation Gobble Turkey Giveaway
Later in the month, we joined Councilwoman Esmeralda Soria for Operation Gobble, participating in turkey distribution events on November 16 in Los Banos and November 18 in Madera. Our staff not only helped provide free turkeys to local families but also set up a booth to share health education tips, answer questions, and hand out measuring spoons—small tools to help make Thanksgiving preparations a little easier.
These efforts were entirely volunteer-driven, with our team members freely giving their time and energy. Some traveled long distances to participate, not for recognition or reward, but because they genuinely care about making an impact. Their actions reflect the heart of Camarena Health: a team that lives out our values by focusing on the greater good and going above and beyond for the communities we serve.
Whether through healthcare or community service, our mission remains the same: to uplift and support our neighbors in meaningful ways. This November, we were reminded once again of the incredible hearts that make up the Camarena Health family—and the power of coming together to make a difference.
