2024 Camarena Health Scholarship Awards
Celebrating nearly three decades of commitment to education and community health, Camarena Health is thrilled to announce the 2024 Scholarship Awards. This year, we’ve reached a new milestone by awarding a total of $338,200 in scholarships since 1995, helping 214 local students forge paths in healthcare. Our scholarship program is a testament to the power of collective support, drawing together the efforts of our Board of Directors, our dedicated employees, the Camarena Health Foundation, and our invaluable community partners.
At Camarena Health, we’re dedicated to building healthier, stronger communities. A fundamental part of this mission is fostering educational opportunities for local students who are pursuing healthcare professions. By providing these scholarships, we aim to reduce the financial barriers to education, allowing students to concentrate on achieving their professional goals in healthcare.
This year, we proudly awarded ten scholarships, each valued at $2,000. The 2024 recipients are as follows:
Brian Angeles | Madera High School
Jocelyn Rico | Madera High School
Elizabeth Gonzales-Cortes | Madera South High School

Since 1995, our Board of Directors, past and present members, employees, and local partners have dedicated themselves to raising funds for our Scholarship Program. Our annual tri-tip luncheon has been a significant event in these efforts. This year, the event transitioned to a drive-thru fundraiser held on May 17th, which was supported by our corporate sponsors, CalViva and Health Net.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s successful event. Your generosity continues to strengthen our community and supports the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
